CLINTON, S.C. — Expecting parents in Laurens County are invited to a free morning of gifts and support next month, when the Upstate Pregnancy Center brings back its Bundles of Joy Community Baby Shower in Clinton.
The second annual shower runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The pregnancy center is putting it on with First Choice by Select Health.
Moms and dads who are expecting, along with parents whose baby arrived within the last 30 days, can sign up by emailing [email protected] or sending a text to 864-939-8225. The center asks that registrations include the name of everyone who plans to come. Organizers say the program will include prize drawings, gifts for both mothers and fathers, and resources on pregnancy and parenting.
Last year’s first shower, held in November 2025 at the same church, drew about 40 expectant mothers, many of them accompanied by partners, parents or other relatives. Groups including Prisma Health Healthy Start-Upstate, WIC, First Steps, SC Thrive and Safe Kids Upstate set up tables to share information, and a Prisma Health educator spoke about safe sleep for babies. Families went home with gifts and roughly 20 pounds of fresh produce each.
The center has set a $15,000 fundraising goal for this year’s event. Sponsorships run from $50 to $2,500, and churches can take part through what the center calls a Church Love Gift. Money raised will go toward the center’s programs and help start a capital campaign for a building of its own.
