CLINTON, S.C. — Clinton High School will play Southside Christian on Friday, Nov. 13, in a Class 2A Upper State second-round playoff rematch. It is the next step in the SCHSL playoffs for both clubs.
The SCHSL set the pairing after the opening weekend of the state playoffs. Southside Christian had an opening-round bye. Clinton advanced by beating Liberty 63-30 on Friday night at Wilder Stadium and is now 7-4. Southside Christian is 8-2.
The same Region 2-2A teams met on Oct. 2, when Southside Christian won 28-24 in Simpsonville. A win in this round would put either side in the quarterfinals.
Kickoff times vary by site this week, and higher seeds have home-field advantage in the second round. Clinton High School is at 122 Arrow Road.
