CLINTON, S.C. — Presbyterian College wrestling gets its 2026-27 season underway Sunday, Nov. 8, when the Blue Hose host Division II Coker at Templeton Gymnasium in Clinton.
The opener will not be scored as a standard dual meet. The two programs instead will run a round-robin event, and most wrestlers on both sides are expected to take the mat four times over the day.
Coach Mark Cody has 19 wrestlers back from last season, a group that includes Reed Douglass, who made it to the Southern Conference title match at 184 pounds.
Sunday starts an 11-event regular season with nine duals. The first three duals all come against Southern Conference teams, something the program has never done before, and the Blue Hose will make their first trip to the NWCA National Duals on Jan. 8-9 in Iowa.
January also brings a run of four home opponents in a row. Postseason plans put the league tournament back in Asheville, North Carolina, while the national championships will be held in St. Louis from March 18 to 20.
