COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina’s lone traditional transfer-portal addition this cycle, wing Jordan Lee, checked in at No. 6 on a national ranking of the most impactful women’s basketball transfers for 2026-27.
Lee spent two seasons at Texas before joining Dawn Staley’s roster. She averaged 13.2 points a game last season, second on the Longhorns, and is projected as a two-way perimeter piece for the Gamecocks.
Analysts flagged the move as one of the offseason’s more intriguing storylines because Lee left Texas for its chief SEC rival. South Carolina and Texas have finished first and second in the league the past two seasons.
Staley typically keeps portal classes small. Besides Lee, Brooke Quarles-Daniels also joined later after eligibility shifts. The arrival pairs with a freshman class that includes Jerzy Robinson, who landed among the nation’s most impactful first-year players on a separate ranking.
