VALPARAISO, Ind. — Presbyterian College football goes for a fourth straight Pioneer Football League victory Saturday when the Blue Hose visit Valparaiso at Brown Field, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. Eastern.
The Blue Hose arrive at 4-3 overall and 3-1 in league play after outlasting Stetson 47-43 last weekend. Over the last three games they have put up 140 points, and their offense averages 422.9 yards a game, 21st best in the country.
Running back Jackson Burleson leads the surge. Across the victories over Davidson and Stetson he totaled six touchdowns and 307 all-purpose yards, and he earned the conference’s weekly offensive honor for his day at Stetson.
Valparaiso sits at 3-4 and 2-2 in the league and is coming off a 38-13 loss at San Diego. The Beacons lead the all-time series 2-1, but Presbyterian won last season’s meeting 43-14 in Clinton. Saturday is also the annual Breast Cancer Awareness game for the home team.
