Stephen was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Ashley Woody, Justin Woody, Parker Hill, and Cooper Hill.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Stephen was the son of Polish immigrants Steve Lynn, Sr. and Helen. His family later settled in Naperville, Illinois, where he grew up alongside his brothers, Wally Lynn and Rich Lynn. Stephen graduated from Illinois Benedictine College and enjoyed a long career in business, working diligently until his 70s.
In recent years, Stephen and Jan retired to the picturesque Lake Greenwood area near Cross Hill, SC. Known for his hard-working nature and dependability, he was a man of few words. Friends and family described him as quick-witted and wise, particularly adept at remaining calm during stressful situations. His character was not only shaped by his professional life but also by his deep Christian faith, serving as an elder in his church for many years.
Stephen was passionate about sports, holding a particular fondness for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Cubs. In pursuit of personal fitness, he dedicated numerous hours to the gym, influencing those around him with his commitment to health and wellness.
A celebration of life service in honor of Stephen will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 2 PM. Before the service, friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during a visitation from 12:30 PM to 2 PM at the church.
