South Carolina’s consistent outreach highlights their commitment to strengthening the football program for upcoming seasons.

Columbia, South Carolina – South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer has made significant strides in recruiting this week, issuing a commitment alert on Thursday morning without specifying the corresponding class. The Gamecocks have been expanding their roster with new offers and following up on several high-profile recruits across multiple positions.

Currently, South Carolina is in contention for a variety of prospects. Player targets include safety Tamarion Watkins from Northwestern, defensive tackle Pierre Dean from Clemmons, NC, and wide receiver Brody Keefe from Charlotte. Other notable prospects are cornerback Samari Matthews from Cornelius, NC, defensive end Rodney Dunham from Charlotte, and several offensive and defensive players from states such as Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina.

During the spring evaluation period, offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley made a visit to Clinton High to evaluate Tre Aiken, an offensive guard prospect. Furthermore, offensive tackle Micah Smith from Vero Beach, FL, has scheduled an official visit to South Carolina for May 30, which follows visits to Illinois and UCLA. Smith is also on the radar of Alabama and Ohio State, as he has visits lined up with them in June.

South Carolina recently extended an offer to Zachary Lewis, a 6-5, 282-pound offensive tackle from Suwanee, GA, after he visited the school on April 8. Lewis has gathered additional offers from notable programs including Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. In another development, the Gamecocks offered Jordan Agbanoma, a 2027 offensive tackle from Loganville, GA, who is also drawing interest from major schools such as Georgia and Nebraska.

The Gamecocks are actively scouting younger prospects as well, having offered a range of players from the class of 2027, including wide receiver Vermont Carmack from Greensboro, NC, offensive tackle Abram Eisenhower from Valdosta, GA, and running back Tranard Roberts from IMG Academy. Additionally, a 2028 defensive end prospect, George Parkinson from Douglassville, PA, has received a scholarship offer from the Gamecocks.

However, the competition is fierce. OT Kamari Blair has received an offer from Tennessee, while OT Dom Harris of Las Vegas, who has been offered by both Clemson and South Carolina, has now caught the attention of Oregon as well. In the same recruiting sphere, CB Danny Odem is currently considering his options, listing Clemson among his top eight schools alongside Oklahoma, Miami, and others.

Looking at commitments, Dorman safety Kentavion Anderson will announce his decision on Friday, with Clemson being the noticeable frontrunner. Additionally, 2027 Catawba Ridge cornerback Joshua Dobson has received an offer from Oklahoma State, while LB Kaden Henderson from Tampa has intrigued both South Carolina and Clemson, garnering an additional offer from Texas.

As the spring evaluation period continues, South Carolina’s coaching staff remains engaged and proactive, extending multiple offers to potential recruits this month. The Gamecocks’ consistent outreach and the recent influx of offers place them in a favorable position as they seek to bolster their roster for upcoming seasons.

This recruiting push indicates South Carolina’s commitment to developing a competitive football program, and Coach Shane Beamer’s efforts are steadily becoming more evident as the Gamecocks look to attract top talent to Columbia.
