Nashua’s High School Sports Roundup: A Day of Wins and Highlights

This past weekend, Nashua was buzzing with excitement as several high school sports teams took to the field and track. Despite a rainy Saturday, the competition remained fierce and entertaining across different events.

In football, the Campbell High School team continued their winning streak, overpowering their opponent and adding another victory to their record. Meanwhile, Nashua North faced off against Keene in a tight match at Alumni Field. The game was filled with thrilling moments, and Keene ultimately edged out with a 23-20 win, responding well after a prior loss.

On the girls’ soccer front, it was a challenging day for the Alvirne High School team as they went up against the powerful Bishop Guertin. The game concluded with an impressive 7-0 score in favor of Bishop Guertin, who demonstrated their championship potential. Even though the rain fell steadily, the Cardinals maintained control from the start, leading 2-0 at halftime.

The meet at the Manchester Invitational turned out to be a remarkable day for the Nashua South boys and Souhegan girls cross country teams. Despite the rain, runners pushed through the damp conditions, showcasing their endurance and commitment.

Over in Hollis, the Milford Spartans delivered an outstanding performance against the Cavaliers, winning decisively with a score of 48-22. With key plays, like two blocked punts by Liam Zahn in the first quarter, Milford set the tone early and never looked back.

The weekend of sports in Nashua highlighted the strength and talent of local athletes, making it clear that despite rainy weather, spirits were high and the games went on with great enthusiasm.
