Monroe Boys Basketball Takes Down Meadowdale
In a competitive game on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the Monroe boys basketball team scored a victory over Meadowdale with a final score of 58-48. The game showcased some impressive performances from both teams, but Monroe’s strong start set the tone for their win.
The game began with Monroe dominating the first quarter, scoring 21 points while holding Meadowdale to just 6 points. As the game progressed, Meadowdale found their rhythm and improved their scoring, especially in the fourth quarter where they put up 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Monroe’s early lead.
Chayce Waite-Kella led Monroe in scoring with 18 points, providing crucial contributions throughout the game. Other notable scorers for Monroe included Wyatt Prohn with 12 points and Kieran Greear who added 8 points. Meanwhile, for Meadowdale, Khalil Botley matched Waite-Kella’s performance with his own 18 points. The team also saw contributions from Natnael Ghirmay and Noah Million, each scoring 9 points.

The Edmonds-Woodway Warriors dominated Kamiak with a 66-44 win, highlighted by Cameron Hiatt’s impressive 27 points. The Warriors are also enjoying a strong record of 3-0.
Finally, the Snohomish team secured a 57-30 victory over Lynnwood, improving their record to 1-4.
