Exciting April Events at Laurens Library
Hey there, Laurens residents! Spring is finally here, and with it comes the opportunity to engage in some wonderful activities at your very own Learns Library. For all you kids, teens, and book enthusiasts out there, April 2025 is set to be a month full of fun, learning, and community spirit. Let’s explore what the library has lined up for everyone!
Kids Club – A Celebration of Earth Day!
Mark your calendars! On April 21, 2025, starting at 4:00 PM, young adventurers aged 2 to 10 are invited to join the Kids Club for a spectacular celebration of Earth Day. This isn’t just any ordinary event; it’s an opportunity for kids to engage in some hands-on learning experiences about our amazing planet.
At the Kids Club, attendees will dive right into exciting activities, including seed bomb making, where little hands can get creative and learn about gardening and the importance of plants! And if that doesn’t tantalize their taste buds, kids will also have a chance to whip up some chocolate dirt cups. Yes, chocolate is involved, making it a sweet treat that’s educational, too! Parents, this is a fantastic chance for your kids to learn about environmental care while having a blast with new friends!
Towering Triumph: The Cup Challenge!
But that’s not all! On April 24, 2025, middle and high school students can swing by the library for a day filled with excitement during the Towering Triumph: The Cup Challenge. Throughout the day, teens are encouraged to show off their engineering skills by building the tallest tower they can create using only plastic cups!
This hands-on challenge not only promises tons of fun but also sparks creativity and teamwork among participants. So gather your friends, strategize, and see how high you can stack those cups! Remember, the only limit is your imagination—let the best tower win!
Used Book Sale – Fill Your Bag for $10!
Attention all book lovers! If you’ve been meaning to restock your personal library or simply want to find a new page-turner, the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale is just around the corner. Running from April 24 to April 26, 2025, this sale gives attendees the chance to fill a bag of books for only $10.
The proceeds from this sale go directly to supporting library programs throughout the year, which means you’ll be helping out your library while enjoying some new reads! It’s a win-win situation: find great deals and support your community at the same time.
Join in the Fun!
All of these events are free and open to the public, so gather up the family and friends to make some memories together. Whether you’re there for the kids’ activities, the cup-building challenge, or to hunt for your next favorite book, there’s something for everyone at the Laurens Library this April.
