The voting for the GoLaurens.com Athlete of the Week has officially begun in Laurens! From Monday until January 22, 2025, residents can support local high school athletes by casting their votes daily. This week features Quinton Watts, Jackson Wooten, and Dakota McCall, each showcasing exceptional talent in their sports. The initiative, powered by Self Regional Healthcare, highlights athletes’ hard work and dedication while encouraging community involvement. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate local talent by voting for your favorite athlete!
Hey Laurens! Have you heard the buzz? Voting for the coveted GoLaurens.com Athlete of the Week has officially kicked off! The fun began on Monday at noon and will continue until Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at noon. This is your chance to support the talented athletes from our local schools, and it’s super easy to get in on the action!
That’s right, you, the fabulous folks of Laurens, can cast your vote once a day throughout the voting period. Be sure to mark your calendars because the winner will be celebrated right here on GoLaurens.com on the final day of voting! It’s a fantastic way to recognize hard work, dedication, and the incredible skills displayed by our local athletes.

The GoLaurens.com Athlete of the Week initiative is powered by Self Regional Healthcare and teams up with the Lakelands Region YMCA-Laurens and Clinton YMCA. This program will run for an impressive 32 weeks during the 2024-2025 school year, aiming to highlight the exceptional talent within our community.
Eligible participants come from our local high schools, including Clinton High School, Laurens Academy, Laurens District High School, and Thornwell Charter School. This is a fantastic opportunity to recognize these athletes for their hard work and achievements on and off the field!
