The accident involved a collision between a Jeep Cherokee and a Toyota Camry. Authorities report that the driver of the Jeep, identified as 32-year-old Kevin Clinton Harrison, allegedly ran a red light before striking the Camry. There were five people in the Toyota Camry at the time of the crash.

Chasity, a rear passenger in the Camry, was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital with critical injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries on July 8. The coroner has ruled her death an accident resulting from blunt force trauma. Four other occupants of the Camry were also injured, with two, Quinn Hellams and Deashia Cruell, requiring hospitalization. Deashia has been reported to be in the ICU.

As for Kevin Clinton Harrison, he was initially hospitalized after the crash, but following his release, he was arrested. He now faces serious charges that include four counts of felony DUI with great bodily injury and one count of felony DUI involving death. Harrison was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center on Wednesday, July 9, and had his bond denied the following day on July 10.
