Early Life and Education

David was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, as the son of the late Paul Feinstein, Sr. and Cecile Richey Feinstein. He completed his education at Spartanburg High School, laying the groundwork for a life characterized by service and dedication.

Military and Professional Career

After graduating high school, David proudly served in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he embarked on a lengthy professional career as a technician with IBM, where he worked diligently until his retirement. David’s commitment to excellence in both his military and professional roles left a lasting impact on those around him.

Legacy and Family

David’s legacy extends beyond his professional life; he was known for his warmth and kindness, positively influencing the lives of many. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Feinstein, Jr.; his sister, Paulette Feinstein Lomax; and his niece, K.C. Lomax Edewaard. His family continues to honor his memory through the love and care he instilled in them.

David is survived by his two step-daughters, Meredith Heffner and Marla Kuhne (Trey), and three cherished grandchildren: T.J. Heffner, Amanda Heffner, and Alexis Heffner. Moreover, he leaves behind three nieces—Sarah Jane Brynestad (Barrett), Georgia Lomax Miller (Jonathan), and Libby Lomax Nicholson (David)—and two nephews, David Scott Feinstein (Cheryl) and Paul Webster Feinstein. Three great-nephews, Ethan Feinstein, Worthy Brynestad, and Ellis Brynestad, also survive him.

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. This tribute reflects David’s dedication to service and support for veterans.
