Dave is survived by his loving wife Christy Castle Fincher, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage, as well as two sons, Ethan Fincher, who is married to Brianna, and Arlen Fincher. He was also a proud grandfather to his grandson Bryce Fincher. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by one sister, Karen Vogt, along with several nieces, nephews, and an aunt known affectionately as Aunt Bop.

Born on September 27, 1966, in Union, SC, Dave was the son of Judy Smart and the late Mike Fincher. He had a profound passion for a range of subjects, including watches, trains, history, and genealogy. His enthusiasm for these interests was matched only by his devotion to his Christian faith and his admiration for the Lord.
