In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by one sister, Karen Vogt, along with several nieces, nephews, and an aunt known affectionately as Aunt Bop.

Born on September 27, 1966, in Union, SC, Dave was the son of Judy Smart and the late Mike Fincher.
