Viner is currently being held at the Johnson Detention Center and is awaiting a scheduled bond hearing.

As the investigation progressed, at approximately 7 p.m. the same day, deputies arrested 17-year-old Kovonte Cunningham of Cross Hill in connection with Gadsden’s shooting. Cunningham has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
