Renowned choirs delivering outstanding performances at Carnegie Hall.
On June 1, 2025, Carnegie Hall will host an afternoon of choral music presented by MidAmerica Productions. The concert will feature multiple renowned choirs, including the Presbyterian College Choir, performing notable works such as John Rutter’s ‘Te Deum’, ‘Gloria’, and Gabriel Fauré’s ‘Requiem’. MidAmerica Productions will present an afternoon of choral music at Carnegie Hall on June 1, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM in the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. The concert promises to showcase outstanding performances from several renowned choirs, including the Presbyterian College Choir and its alumni from Clinton, South Carolina, who will be directed by Kipper Ackerman.
The New England Symphonic Ensemble, under the direction of Artistic Director Preston Hawes, will also be featured in the concert. Notable pieces include John Rutter’s Te Deum and Gloria, both conducted by different directors, with Sonja Sepúlveda leading the performance of the former and Kipper Ackerman the latter. The concert will also highlight acclaimed works such as Franz Schubert’s Mass No. 4 in C Major, conducted by Dennis Malfatti, and Antonio Vivaldi’s Magnificat, directed by Chantae D. Pittman. Furthermore, Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, will be conducted by Craig Denison and Jeffrey L. Webb, featuring multiple participating choruses.

All participating musicians will spend five days and four nights in New York City preparing for the concert, dedicating a total of nine to ten hours for rehearsals before the performance.
