High School Football Playoff Results from Kansas City Metro
This week, high school football playoffs kept fans on their toes in the Kansas City metro area. Numerous teams battled it out across various classes, showcasing their skills and determination on the field.
Class 6A Highlights
In the Class 6A games, Gardner Edgerton triumphed over Blue Valley Northwest with a score of 44-29. Blue Valley West also secured a victory against Shawnee Mission Northwest, finishing at 35-20. Other notable results included Derby‘s big win over Wichita East at 63-28, and Manhattan dominating Wichita Northwest with a score of 49-28.
Class 5A Performances
In Class 5A, St. Thomas Aquinas edged out Mill Valley by a single point, ending at 23-22. Meanwhile, St. James Academy had a strong showing against Blue Valley North, winning by a significant margin of 45-0. Other Class 5A games saw Hays shut out Hutchinson 28-0, and Eisenhower defeating Topeka Seaman with a score of 44-14.
Class 4A and Below
Moving down to Class 4A, Tonganoxie secured a solid win against Lansing at 21-7. Bishop Miege also performed well, defeating Chanute 37-14. In Class 3A, Wellsville managed to take down Prairie View with a score of 35-14 while Topeka Hayden dominated Perry-Lecompton to win 56-6.
8-Man and Other Division Results
In 8-man Division I, Central Plains outlasted Little River, winning 38-32. Meanwhile, in Division II, Frankfort battled hard against Burlingame, ending at 46-38. The excitement didn’t stop there, as in the 6-man format, Tescott also emerged victorious over Peabody-Burns 26-13.
