ATLANTA, Ga. — Former Vice President Kamala Harris spent the last stretch before Tuesday’s midterm elections on stages in Georgia and California, rallying Democratic voters while still declining to say whether she will seek the White House again in 2028.

On Thursday, Harris spoke to a packed crowd at Clark Atlanta University, the historically Black school in the Atlanta University Center, urging students not to let anyone strip away their political power. She acknowledged the grief many young supporters felt after her 2024 loss and told them that period was over.

She stayed in Atlanta for a Friday evening fundraising dinner held for Fulton County Democrats, where she argued that the country needs deep change after President Donald Trump leaves office, not just repairs, and denounced his administration as corrupt.

Earlier in the week she appeared alongside Sen. Jon Ossoff, who is seeking reelection. Georgia early voting closed with a record final day and roughly 2.8 million ballots cast, about 37 percent of registered voters.

Harris then flew west for a Sunday rally in Los Angeles with former U.S. Health Secretary Xavier Becerra, the Democratic nominee for California governor. Gov. Gavin Newsom and Sens. Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff were billed alongside her for the event, part of a Stop the Power Grab tour meant as a last push in the governor’s race and other contests on the California ballot.

Over the past month Harris has also campaigned in Mississippi, Nevada, Wisconsin, New Hampshire and Michigan for Democratic candidates. Asked on a podcast earlier this month about another presidential bid, she said she has not decided and that the midterms come first.

Polls open Tuesday morning across the country.
