## MyBakery Opens with Local Focus

Audrey Therrell has opened MyBakery, a new establishment offering sweet treats. The storefront, which opened in April, features Therrell’s cheesecakes and also serves as a retail space for creations from other local bakers.

Therrell’s background includes growing up in a kitchen, as her father was a graduate chef. She began selling her cheesecake to friends and family after adapting her father’s recipe. The decision to open a storefront in South Carolina came after her husband, Alec Therrell, received military relocation orders.

MyBakery currently collaborates with approximately 10 vendors, offering a variety of items such as custom cakes, cookies, tres leches, additional cheesecakes, jams, and candles. Vendors include My Cheesecake Lady, Maria’s Tres Leches, Angel Cakes, Lakeside Sugar Cookies, Gemi Jams, Jo Shmo Dip, Mac’s Cakes, Jersey Girl Bakehouse, Tommy’s Fudge, Forever Kai & Co, Robbins Nest Boutique, and Elder & Oak.

David Abreu, owner of Maria’s Tres Leches, noted that Audrey Therrell believes local businesses flourish when communities foster opportunities for one another.
